Guest Speaker: Dr. Frank Vernon
In the Midwest people worry about tornados. On the West Coast we worry about earthquakes. Dr. Vernon will discuss the earthquake fault situation in Southern California and some of the research in which he is involved at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography (SIO).
Dr. Frank Vernon is a Research Geophysicist at SIO, a part of UCSD. He is the principal investigator for a program studying the structure of the San Jacinto fault, a major component of the San Andreas fault system.
